Z3 rear foglights

I have a 2000 Z3 2.3 roadster that has been imported from the USA to France. In order to register the car in France I need to fit rear fog lamps as they are a requirement in Europe but not fitted to USA spec cars. I would like to complete the installation using the BMW European installation arrangement. Unfortunately I do not have a European spec car to compare mine with. I have several questions:

Does the USA "facelift" rear light cluster have the facility to incorporate a fog lamp or do I need to buy two second hand rear clusters?
Does the USA wiring loom incorporate the fog lamp cables or do I need to run a new cable forward to the dashboard?
Does the USA fuse box incorporate a place for the relay and if so which position is it?

Any help/advice/photos appreciated.
Thanks Nick

I’ve been pratting about with pre facelift rear lights, they had fittings not used in the UK that I’ve opened up.
It would be worth asking for pics of the lighting board, it may simply be a case of either swapping the board, or adding a socket.

Thanks for the suggestion Ian. I am currently looking at purchasing just a replacement bulb board to fit to my existing light cluster. It is very difficult to tell from photos whether the two are interchangeable.

When I bought mine, the seller helpfully left the connectors and a chunk of wiring on the panels. Made it easier to work out how to mod the panel. If you have to add a socket, compatible ones are on eBay.

Thanks Ian, I have now purchased two second hand 'European' rear lamp clusters with the fog light integrated so hopefully I now just need to sort out the wiring (fog lamp switch, relay etc). I will post a separate thread asking for help with the wiring diagram. Nick
