Wanted Z3 Hamann or Weismann Hardtop

Hey all,

so if anyone knows where to get hold of one (at a reasonable price, and not the price of an entry level z3!) please get in touch.

I don't actually own a Z3 yet - but looking to buy a project car next year, IF and only if I can get hold of the hardtop from Hamann.

yeh I figured - two on ebay at mo - but extortionate price - 4000 USD. Do u know if these were made to order? or what the deal was with these? An numbers on how many hamann produced?

I don't personally know but other members might. I think they were a bit more popular in mainland Europe. Have you looked on German, France and Holland Ebay?

yeh only looked on US ebay... yeh will check Europe ebays out

I have a Weismann and was lucky to get mine
The original owner was @hard top so it's travelled a fair few miles

Hamman still make these to order but you will pay ££££. Other than the one for sale around £2500 thats all thats around at the moment.

The standard HT and Weismann are very similar in design.

crazy how expensive they are even at 2500 that sounds really steep... but I guess you pay for the design. wonder how much the standard hardtop was when bought brand new as a comparison to the hamann.

Gotta say, never really thought I'd be wanting a Z3 until I saw the Hamann top. Also would make for a great project car considering how much Z3's are at mo

I hardly use it so its definitely a luxury item considering how much it ost.

This is one of the last photos of my car with the Weismann hardtop on, just before the car was totaled in a head on collision.
I sold it to @David, who drove over here to collect it and he later sold it on to @BMBabe, who as far as I know, still has it ...
