Seal around base of soft top loose

This has come off on my car. I still have it. Is there a way to re attach it? You know the super long seal that goes right the way around the base of the soft top?

mine has partially popped out before and has just pushed back in. Try cleaning the seal and the groove it fits into and then re-attach...

So it wouldn’t have been ‘stuck’ on originally?

it might have been, but i think as the rubber ages it will grip less

You could try smothering it with gummifledge to see if it will revitalise it or ask @spurs fan in a coupe if he has any decent spares or you could go for a new part, I’m pretty sure this is the correct part number https://www.lllparts.co.uk/product/bmw-sealing-gasket-genuine-bmw-51718397931/id/462896
