Richard's Z3 1.9 Project

Had a whining from the front passenger side at the weekend when I took the car out. Felt the wheel after driving a short distance and could feel the heat. Quick trip to the garage and a new shiney caliper has been fitted. This explains why the wheel did not turn when we took the wheel off whilst changing the sill the other weekend. Should have looked in to it whilst I had the car up and the wheel off.

Fitted a deflector at the weekend. Today is MOT day. Going in at lunch time for its first MOT under my ownership. Confident that it will pass. Not confident that it will not get any advisories. Has had an advisory on the rear subframe for being rusty for the last two MOT. My garage tells me that it is OK and just a bit of surface rust and should not be an advisory. Guess where it is going for its MOT :-)

Err...your garage*?
*haven’t got a clue =))

Had that advisory on one my past mot's, "underside of the car rusty" turns out it was only surface rust tht you would have onany car of that age or even younger. I did tackle underneath with a wire brush and some black enamel paint. The next mot had an advisory " undersealed" ?

I have a PASS. Yay !!!
They did say that a short brake line was looking old and one of the anti-roll bar bushes is a bit squishy so I'm getting these done next week but a pass and no advisories :)
Congratulations to your car! And you ;)

Congratulations, nice to see your work is paying off.
