I have a full set of pepperpot alloy wheels for a Z3 sitting in my garage. Is there any love for them on here?

The wheels are in good condition overall with no major damage I can see but some signs of use. You're best looking at the photos. The tyres appear to be legal with around 4mm of tread but I only measured with a ruler and there are some cracks in the grooves.

For the sake of stating a price, I'll go with what I saw on eBay which was £400 but I'm not sure how realistic that is! All offers will be considered as I'm just trying to build up some maintenance cash for my Z3.

Pick up from near Chester or delivery for extra cost.

I've just edited my original post with photos for anybody interested. Cheers.
 
To be brutally honest, they're worth about 100 quid, £150 on a very good day. Most have been replaced with 16 or 17 inch wheels. I had a really nice set of these with almost new Michelins and I ended taking the tyres off and weighing the alloys in for scrap. I have a set of Starfish wheels from a 2.8, been on Ebay for 60 quid for months. I gave up in the end.

Fair enough. One thing I never understand is the reluctance to send an offer even if it's low. I post high prices for things but always willing to consider offers.
 
Selling anything is hard work these days unless it's rare or valuable. In another 10 or 20 years when early Z3's are really rare and worth a fortune, everyone will want the 15 inch Pepperpot wheels. :whistle:
 
I recently bought a set for £60. Maybe not in perfect condition but I have sanded them down ready for spraying. There have been some on eBay for £400 for months but haven't sold. I think they look great and are very underated, as Andyboy says when they become rare every one will want them.
 
Nick, I would be interested in your wheels but couldn’t trust the tyres. I would give you £75.00 for the wheels only.

They're all yours then Dave. You caught me at a time when I'm trying to make space in my garage! The tyres do have a lot of tread but I understand the cautionary approach. Send me a PM and we can arrange pick up once we know what's going on with this lockdown. Cheers, Nick.
 
Those wheels look great on a pre-facelift 1.9. Really capture the original retro Z3 look.:thumbsup:If I had an old 1.9 they would be a must.
 
For a moment I thought you were offering money to have someone put them on their Z =))
 
These wheels are now available again due to unforeseen circumstances.
 
Ebay or Facebook is the best bet. Aim to get £60-80 and be surprised if they make a bit more. Harsh but sadly realistic. I couldn't get anyone to give me 60 quid for a set of 16 inch 2.8 wheels with good tyres. They will end up being weighed in for scrap.

Funny enough, they may suit my needs if you fancy a swap. :D

What tyres are on them or do you have a listing I can see please?
 
Does anybody want these for £75 ONO? I'm not sure what scrap price is at the moment for alloy wheels but I need to get rid of and would hate to see them crushed.
 
Someone with a pre facelift 1.9 should snap these up if they haven't got them already. Big is not always best!
 
We're also crossing into that territory with the Z3 where origianl and period correct cars are holding value better than others. If you didnt need these gone quickly they will sell at what you want.
