passenger seat stuck stuck stuck

Due to an unfortunate bout of cleaning, I'd detached the power plug under the passenger seat (right side, New World style). I was able to reattach the power and that works fine now, but the seat won't go as far back as its driver's side mate--by about 2 inches. I've looked for physical blockage and searched previous posts here but no luck. Any advice welcome!

Are you sure the two 16mm rear bolts are all the way down, in the middle of the hole they go in?

Will check. Is the idea that the rails could be misaligned?

Just slightly too far off centre for the bolt head to sit deep enough.

When it’s slightly proud of where it should be it stops the seat going as far back as it should
