Hello everyone! Joining this forum in March 2023 after owning a '01 Z3 2.5i Roadster since Aug. 2020. I'm a photographer and videographer by trade, with a specialization in cars and motorsport. I never thought much of Z's until one day when I was in high school, I got a chance to drive a Z4 M manual, and it was the most fun I've had in a car, even after driving cars like a CTS-V, Corvettes, and more. Then in 2020, I found a '01 Z3 2.5i 5-speed with only 34k miles! I picked it up and loved it ever since. It still has only 38k miles today, but I wanted to join this forum to learn more about the car, since I know some major maintenance projects are coming my way. Attached is a picture my car...unfortunately, it was taken on the same day a rock or something fell off the back of a truck in front of me and hit my bumper on the highway :(

Welcome to the Forum from Cambridgeshire, UK.

Going by the number plate on that photo, I assume you are in the US. The photo is a bit small, but looks like California...

Hi and welcome from me in Scotland :welcome:.

Re the picture you need to edit the post and change the image to full size still showing thumbnail.

Stephen.

Gidday from down here, only 34k, I envy the miles on UK and EU Z's. but you might be pleased to know, mine is knocking on the back door of 250k and still purrs like a kitten.;)

Oh that's encouraging! My next few steps for maintenance are new brake pads, brake fluid (still has original fluid!), power steering fluid, (considering the pump too, as it's starting to "sweat"), fixing the electric top (hoping it's just the fuse), and I have to fix my bumper...struggling to find a silver bumper in my area though.

Had a few problems myself with the electric top and finding a new bumper, the top proved to be easy fix, the bumper not so, I ended up repairing the old one..
