Thanks for the pics. Think I will see if I can contact the previous owners and see what I can find out about my missing original fobs or if any of them had trouble with the system when in their ownership.

The second silver disk in the pictures Geoff isn't a battery its a componant i think (but could be corrected), its cetainly not removable. The fobs only have one battery as far as i can recall
@Geoff Crispin I've just taken the second fob apart and agree with @Antm72. Unless there is a small round battery which goes into the metal ring next to the disc he's mentioned. Hope you have some luck soon! JIM

Sorry Jim going through posts found your pic mine is not like that must be the wrong one. Asked the nearest BMW dealer about but they will say nothing, only bring it in which I dont want to do.
@Geoff Crispin, Geoff, I think you may be getting confused about the components in the fob. There is only one battery, at the top. I've used Andy's photo to name some of the other stuff in there. HTH.

Thanks for that, I am of the opinion that the one I purchased is wrong as not the same internals. I am in the process of getting the right type and will try to re programe it as per instructions given.

No Geoff, I'll be home on Friday. I fitted a new battery in mine only last week so I know it's the same as the one in the photo
