Hello,
I was cleaning my engine bay today and got my cloth caught on a hose, which subsequently snapped. When the engine is on, quite hot liquid flows through the split tube spilling everywhere.

anyone have any idea what it is? Or how to fix it and if it’s a diy or garage job?
Thanks,

Looks like the radiator to expansion tank hose. Can't see it being expensive from the Main Dealers and should be a quick job I'd imagine. Guru's will advise otherwise

Thanks Andy, I certainly hope so! It did crumble so probably lucky it snapped whilst it was in view!

You either buy a new one and have the piece of mind that the hard plastic pipe and the rubber tubes are new, or you replace the hard plastic part with copper tube and still worry about the rubber hoses.

Expansion tank hose, get some copper small bore central heating tube and graft a length into the rubber hose there is enough length of the rubber pipe to cut it and use it to connect and secure with some jubilee clips.

I just bought a new one and replaced it when I broke mine in a similar incident about a year ago. I ordered mine from the US (was about US$35).
