Hi All

I'm Nick. The wife ( Lina) recently bought (May 2015) a Z3 2.8l and we just took part in our first ZRoadster event from the BMW HQ in Fleet which was great fun and very interesting meeting a few of the other members.

I am excited to be a new member and hope to contribute my experiences of reviving the 17year old Linus (The name Lina gave to her car).

I have been talking to a company in Gosport (Ragtops) about removing the soft top on our donor car and swapping it with the corroded one on Linus. Unfortunately the guy is not very responsive, so I am looking for another trimmer who will be able to remove and fit in-situ near Portsmouth. Anyone know a good mobile soft top fitter in this area please let me know.
 
:welcome: to the forum from West Cumbria. Glad you joined us and enjoyed the day. Sorry, can't help with the top as it's not my neck of the woods though I'm sure somebody will be along soon.

Is it just the canvas you are looking to change or the whole metal frame as well?
 
Hello and welcome from Winchester. Great meeting you on sunday.. Glad you enjoyed the day and hope to see you on another one very soon. As you are local, I do post a short notice one if the weather is good over the winter. Normally a quick drive and a warming coffee after.

Hello Nick and Lina from us in Truro. There is a company near Swansea that will supply and fit a soft top for around £350-400 I believe. I know it's a long way from Gosport but you'll enjoy the trip
 
Hi, Nick & Lina yes a great meet hope we spoke if not next time:) with so many people it was difficult to remember who we spoke to,
the nearest people doing car hoods that I know I believe are in New Milton area discountcarhoods@yahoo.co.uk 07956 832052 the guys name you need to speak to is Gary I know its not Portsmouth but not to far down the road cost about £550 supply / fit good luck.
