I have this hard top still from my totaled 00 Z3 2.3 carwreck. It fits on my 97 arctic silver metallic 2.8 liter 5sp. . . As well as my white 1997 Z3 2.8 5sp.
My question is what’s the value? also is either one’s value equal? I have all the parts for the tops. they’re all tip top. Curious about keeping one and letting one go. What should I know about getting that done and what I’d need To do to accomplish that.
Plus tons of spare parts from the sienna red Z3 pictured here are still around the house. I’ll eventually put some out there into the eBay ethos I imagine.

Going by Facebook , the hardtops sell for more than the cars themselves in the UK 🤔

I have mine up on there now but I’ve only had offered of less that $2000

Hard tops usually fetch circa £1,000 in the UK. The fitting kits however can fetch 1.5 times that. If you have an offer of $2,000 I would take it.

Tony.

Tentative deal for 3K …. holding my breath til it happens

I paid around £800 for roof including fitting kit. That was 2 years ago. Have prices really increased that much in 2 years? Or are some people just asking silly money?

I'm doing a 507 rebody on my z3 so my top don't fit no more.

But I'm going to chop the roof to make it fit. Just to see what it looks like.

I wouldn't pay more than £1K for a good condition hard top in the correct body colour, with full fitting kit. Over this is excessive.
Perhaps why I don't have one!!

Prices in USA have been at least twice UK prices if Facebook adverts are anything to go by for a few years now

I bought mine from someone selling in this forum and paid 200£ extra to have it collected and shipped to Greece. Guess why. Only one for sale locally at 1.900€.
And it gets even worse when it comes to speedster humps. 3.000 € is the minimum.

What's a speedster hump? Oh. Hang on. It's one o'them humps behind the driver's head a bit jaguar D Type ish? Isn't it? If I wanted one of them I'd make one. It's a hump.

like the hardtops, it comes in two flavours. OEM and Hamman
Hamman covers and hardtops sell for silly prices, because in this part of the world, for some reason, the Z3 has a following from purists.
Dont ask me why, but prices for low mileage original ones (preferably carrying a repetitive registration plate - see below) are eye watering.
Sold mine for 15.000€ and regret every single day, should have asked 20.
