The dye will do it Dave although it may take a few attempts.No different to me using it on my steering wheel.

i simply made mine, its smaller to which was the reason i changed it, though it does not have the dip option, but it is colour coded to the trim.

i could make them, but you need to ensure you dont have any wiring inside (though if you have swapped it already then you haven't), this one simply pops onto the original arm, i think the ones with wiring - it is only in the arm so it should work on any, but i cant guarantee this.
